Once the administrator enables the judging session, a calibration round can be carried out (if the organization decides to activate this option) by clicking on “Calibration round”.
Clicking on “Judge” starts the calibration sample.
The description of the style being evaluated will be displayed in the left column. In the lower horizontal bar you can visualize each one of the aspects to be evaluated: aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel, flaws and overall impression. Once the descriptive fields and the scores are completed, the evaluation is recorded, and an analysis of the calibration between all judges can be seen:
That analysis makes a comparison between your own scores and those of the other judges, the most repeated flaws (in a “word cloud” format), the judges who evaluated entries more similarly to you and the ones who diverged the most, and the total number of judges who completed the evaluation. Clicking on “Scoresheet” allows you to see your own scoresheet again, and clicking on “Go back” allows you to return to the judge’s main menu for that competition.
