Flight Judging Without Score

If the evaluation format is by Flights with no scores, you can enter the ID of any of the entries in that flight, which should be provided by your steward, in the ID box within the “Judge Sample” section. Then, the list of all the entries included in that flight will appear, along with their styles and corresponding award categories. By clicking on “Judge”, you can evaluate all entries from the flight. The BAP Tasting Notes (no scores) scoresheet is being used for this example.

The description of the style of the entry being evaluated will be displayed in the left column. In the lower horizontal bar, you will be able to see the ID of each of the beers that constitute the flight. Unlike the monadic form of evaluation, in this case, the entire scoresheet of an individual entry will be shown on the same screen.

Every time the evaluation of an entry is completed, a checkbox will appear at the bottom of the screen for the judge to decide whether to advance the beer to the next round or not:

Every time the evaluation of an entry is completed, the option to edit it or judge the next entry will be displayed.

As the evaluation of the entries is completed, a check icon will appear in the lower bar over the entries that have already been judged.

If you want to edit an entry that has already been judged, simply search for its code in the lower bar, select it, and then click on “Edit”. After you finish editing, click on “Finish”. Changes will be automatically saved every 30 seconds.

Once the entire flight has been completed and the “Consensus” stage is reached, a screen is presented with the decisions of each judge at the panel regarding which entries should advance to the next round and which entries should not.

If a judge is still evaluating an entry, this message will be displayed:

The head judge of each panel may provide their approval regarding the consensus on whether an entry passes to the next round by clicking on “Agree” or “Disagree”. They can also reset the consensus on an entry already evaluated by the panel by clicking on “Reset” (the head judge is the only one who can edit the consensus decision of each entry), or directly save the consensus without another judge proposing it.

Clicking on an individual entry on the Consensus screen displays a summary of how the judges rated that beer. By clicking on the eye icon, the head judge can view the individual scoresheets of all judges at that panel.

Once the flight is completed, click on this button to proceed to the next flight.

In the event of a small award category assigned to a single panel, after reaching a consensus, the head judge will have the option to directly set the award positions (mini B.O.S.).
